Conversations and Cocktails!

GOOD FRIENDS + DRINKS OVER CRUSHED ICE + GREAT CONVERSATION = MEMORIES THAT LAST A LIFETIME & FRIENDS THAT ARE MORE LIKE FAMILY

Hola Fashionistas, I know that your just as happy as I am that the holidays are over! Now it's time to relax and let all that holiday madness melt away like last years New Years Eve Resolutions. And what great way to forget about the bills you racked up. than to get turned up with good friends. CHEERS ANYONE?

Sometimes the best therapy is conversation. Get some friends together and have a good old fashion GIRLS NIGHT IN! When was the last time you and close friends got together to talk mess, man bash, and just plan act a fool? Go ahead and count how long it's been...I'll wait.

Listen, we've all built up much stress in the passing year; and I vote we leave it there. Reflect on what was done, and move on; because we all know that life is too damn short to dwell on things we can't change.

Don't know what to do for Girls Night In? Try this:

1. Set a date for friends to come over.

2. Also, make the get together a pot luck so that everyone can bring their best dish. What's a G2G (get together) without food!

3. Put a friend in charge of drinks! We all have the one friend that's an amateur mixologist, and knows every fruity drink known to man that can rival the knowledge of Jon Taffer.

4. Its your job as host/hostess to make sure everyone is having a good time, so try to think of fun things to do that doesn't make you look like a school girl having a sleep over.
        - get some great 'man hater' movies or chick flicks like Singles Mothers Club or Think Like A Man.
        - plan to have a stripper surprise ypur friends!
        - besides alcohol, make sure there is wine on deck!
        - play a few {drinking} games, or whatever games you guys like.

Bottom line be creative, not two people like the same things. Also, know that you can't please everyone; so if you get a complainer don't take it to heart. Just keep in mind that this person is miserable not matter what anyone does, and mental note not to invite them to the next g2g.

Really, Conversations & Cocktails is about just that! Have fun with friends, do some catching up on each others lives, and reminisce. Good friends are hard to come by, and if you guys really care about each other you'll never lose them; but just because you care deeply dosnt mean you don't have to work in the relationship, it means you have to work hard to keep it!

Press Play > : Plus Size Club Wear

Hi Beautiful People! Have you ever had  a ladies nght planned, or an amazing date night at the club with your honey only to discover that your club clothes are either don't fit or out dated? The worse part is that it's probably too late to run out a buy something. So, what do you do in that situation? I'll tell you what will happen; you'll most likely put on something cute that you've worn before, pair it with a new piece of jewelry or shoes that no one has seen you in yet, and get the stepping. Am I right? I know I'm right because I would the same thing.

I also know that in the back of your mind your hoping that no one remebers this outfit, though thats impossible because everyone notices when a curvy or plus size girl wears something new. Its difficult for us to buy just anything to wear to the club or anywhere else for that matter because it leaves too many unknowns on the table. Unlike the curve-deficient ladies of the world, we have to worry about if our tops rolls up, the pants being too tight at the waist giving the wearer a burning sensation across the stomach because the denim is cutting into your skin, blouses that stick to back rolls, skirts that can roll up exposing thighs, panties, and much more if you know what I mean! It's hard out there for a big, plus size, or curvy girl to maintain our sexiness with all that craziness going on! So, I've attempted to make it easier for the pleasently plump divas; you know who you are!

I've looked at some popular curvy retailers and found some great picks PRESS PLAY > CLUB WEAR!
Do you have a favorite retailer not mentioned? Tell me about it in the comments section below! Happy shopping Divas!

Dating the Voluptuous way: How curvy women should dress for a day or night out on the town!

YES! I'm absolutely going to go there! Dating is hard enough without adding the prep time it takes to get ready for it, but when you also add to the equation being plus sized it takes the "Dating Game" to a new level entirely.

The first date can make or break a possible future relationship, so it's important to identify whether or not your comfortable with this person in a setting were it will be the two of you and no other daters (double dating), or group setting. If you can, find out what type of date your going out on so that dressing for the occasion will be as effortless as possible. Not only will knowing ahead of time give you an edge, but it will also provide you with back up conversation material should you run out of things to talk about. But if your date is cute, articulate, and knowledgeable trust me you should not be lacking in the communication department. But should you find that they're all looks and no substance cut and run ASAP! Because there's nothing worst that a cute DULL date; whose only conversation is about me, myself, & I.

For a casual date: whether it be two people or a group, I would recommend a versatile flowing top maybe a solid color; something not too busy, a slim cute pair of jeans (to show off your shape or your hour glass shape), and a cute flat or booties to complement with limited accessories. It's best to stick to earrings and bangles to draw attention to your face and hands. Go light on the makeup, your date shouldn't be tempted to use a butter knife to chisel the foundation off of your face!

For a lunch date: I suggest to try and be dressy casual. That way you will be prepared for any lunch setting; wether it be in a bistro, a deli, a cafe, or a hot dog in the park; always put your best foot forward. P.S. Wear comfy shoes nothing too over the top that screams expensive & uncomfortable. That way if you two go for a walk you won't be unpleasant because your feet hurt. And we ALL know that when our feet starts to hurt the date or occasion is pretty much over.

For a beach or boardwalk date: Humm? That's a little more playful, so something light and airy would work best on this date. Possible a breathable cotton top, a crop pant or Capri, and a comfy light weight sneaker like Toms or a wedge. Little to no accessories and a light handbag if needed. On a beach date its likely that you will be out in the sun a majority of the time; so light clothing is essential. Also, there are plenty of boardwalk activities to do so wearing pants are a must! This date should be really fun so you can be sure there will be no awkward silences between you. Makeup should be minimal, and sun screen a must.

Now the date I know you've been waiting for the " Dinner Date" : This date is the most important date of all the dates previous. On this date there are no distractions. No friends, activities, or interruptions. This is when you really show who you are, and this is your chance to really WOW your date! When dressing show your personality; be classic but memorable. If wearing something black, be sure that your jewelry & accessories including your shoes stands out and brightens your ensemble. For your make up bring the attention to your eyes and mouth. You should always want to hold the attention there so that during conversation you'll be able to gage their reactions.

Over all, dating when with a great person can be a memorable experience or a disaster waiting to happen; but whatever the outcome please believe that you will be the best part of it! As always stay beautiful, confident, sexy, and full figured!!
