The holidays can be stressful on everyone, but imagine shopping for family, working, cooking, writing, and traveling to three different destinations; I think I just defined holiday burnout! Oh How they SHINE! The IT Clutch Bags & Trends of the Season 👛!

It sparkles, shines and leaves imitatiors green with envy! What could I possibly be talking about? Glittery clutch bags, shoes, and to die for jewelry. YES, it's that time again; the Holidays! This is the time of year where women go crazy tring to look perfect for up coming events, office paries, social events, and all around gatherings.

With the holidays fast approaching its essential to have the right accessories with your outfit. It's too easy to overwhelm an ensemble with too much of a good thing. When dressing for any event where your featuring a sparkling item think balance. For example, if your going to attend a cocktail party and plan to put a glittery clutch to good use; please remit wearing a glittery or sequin dress (or anything that can out shine your clutch). The clutch is the focus peice, any other assessories worn will be to complement it; not wash it out with too many contrasting colors. 

The most important thing to remember when dressing up is to have FUN! There's nothing worst that looking FABULOUS while sporting a sour attitude. Holiday time is about fun, catching up with loved ones, and enjoying the company of good friends and a glass of Chardonnay! Plus Size OOTD! Supporting Awareness

 

 As discussed in a previous blog October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in bring notice to an illness that affect so many many different organizations are lending their support by raising funds, participating in walks, buying merchandise baring the pink ribbon logo, and also wearing pink in general. Today, I as well as my co-workers wore pink to support the cause!

Plus Size Outfit Of The Day: I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty!

I feel pretty, oh so pretty! Yes luvs, since the weight has been coming off its so much fun to dress. I still have my bum days like everyone else where I don't feel like putting on my face and assessories; but overall I'm having a blast with clothes buried in my closest that haven't seen the light of day for who knows how long. 

Let's play dress up! Instead of making a purchase every time you want a different look, try mixing and matching pieces that you haven't worn in a while. It doesn't matter if it's in or out of season, just as long as you look and feel comfortable; with an added touch of being gorgeous!

The Plus Size Poll! On The Come Up

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Caner Awareness month, and in honor of the all women affect by this disease I'm dedicating this weeks post to the women who continue to fight the good fight and look beautiful will battling their illness.Before researching Breast Cancer, I didn't know much about it. The most I knew without researching is that it is deadly to some, and treatments include radiation treatment and/or mastectomy. I was basically ignorant to the causes of this illness. The first I found in my research was that Breast Cancer affects 1 in 8 women. Let's rewind that...1 in 8 woman, can you imagine that? Well, imagine this; get seven of your closest friends together, now visualize that one of you statistically may have a high chance of developing breast cancer. Scary right!

 What's the facts? 

Breast Cancer is caused by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal breast cells. It occurs as a result of abnormality in genes that regulate the growth of healthy cells. The presents of the mutated cells can divide like normal healthy cells usually do, and continue to replicate itself until a tumor is formed. 

There are 2 types of tumors. Tumors can be benign which isn't dangerous or it can be malignant which can has not only the ability to be dangerous, but deadly. Most likely cancerous, malignant cells can spread to other parts of the body causing the process to repeat.

Fabulous regardless of diagnosis!

In fashion, we tend to want to make everything appear perfect regardless of the chaos born of trying to give the appearance of being flawless. In life we all know that avoiding chaos is damn near impossible, so instead of celebrating the the false sense of perfection we all crave; we should embrace if only for a moment the fact that beauty is found within.
